The end of the year can be sweet and peaceful and restorative, or it can be a scramble, draining your bank account, energy, and mental health. At Pursuit, we’re tired of it. The hassle, the trampling, the infinite consumerism leading to a spiral of screaming louder and louder and louder and louder.
Your holiday season can be marked with scrambling, consuming, and draining yourself to keep up with a breakneck pace. All for what?
Could you please pause? Take a breath. Restore yourself and provide an island of sanity for those around you.
What are you grateful for? What are you hopeful for?
Reflect on the year.
Look forward to the next.
Live in the present.
For the past few years, our store has quietly closed our doors during Black Friday.
This time of year is built to be full of gratitude, connection and looking forward to the hopes of the new year. Black Friday has cannibalized those sentiments. Shopping for others has turned to shopping for ourselves. Rather than grateful and hopeful reflection, we’re scanning websites for deals or trampling each other for door-busting sales. For what?
Gratitude and hope are bigger than Black Friday. Maybe we’ve had enough sales. Maybe gimmicky price reductions have run their course. Maybe we’re better than this.
So, won’t you join us?
